Trans-Art is a new form of art introduced by the Korean artist Sewon Shin.

The Trans-Artist expresses Enlightenment and Awakening which is beyond form by using various forms of Trans-Art.

In Trans-Art part 1: Optical Awakening, the artist expressed ‘Spiritual Enlightenment and Awakening’ in the form of art, based on his own experience.

In part 2: Tasting Art, he integrates Art with Taste, in order to express and experience a glimpse of awakening in consciousness.

In part 3: Mobile Art, the artist combines Technology with Art, whereby audiences can express and experience their collective sentiment.

Trans-Art provided a basis for the 1st and 2nd reformation of the Korean traditional religion Hanol-gyo.

Furthermore, Trans-Art served as a driving force behind the ‘Hanol Spiritual and Cultural movement of Art’- a new way of participating in Hanol philosophy and its spiritual teachings without religious obligation. The Hanol spiritual movement of art - the integration of Art and Spirituality, can be considered as a revolutionary approach to religious innovation and spiritual evolution in the face of an intellectual and spiritual singularity.

Trans-Art part 1 Multi-dimensional artworks [Optical Awakening] [Awakening Enlightenment] [Universal Awakening]

In Part 1: Multi-dimensional Expression of Awakening, he is expressing the process of ‘Ego dis-identification’ that he acquired from his suicidal experience, which caused the separation of the ‘Ego-mind (involuntarily accumulated mental synapse and construct of mind-structure)’ and ‘Consciousness (Original state of being or True-Nature)’, initiating the gradual awakening in his consciousness.

The Part 1-1 Optical Awakening series can be considered as indirect experience of ‘spiritual transcendence’ by the ‘visualization of Enlightenment and Awakening’ in the form of fine art.

The Part 1-2 Optical Enlightening series is the elaboration of 'Enlightening Art' (the first spiritual artwork the artist introduced as a leader of the Hanol foundation) in the form of fine art. By using the multi-dimensional expression method, the artist shows different dimensional expressions in the creation of art.

In the Part 1-3 Universal Awakening series, by using the multi-dimensional method of expression, the artist reveals a revolutionary insight on the undisclosed nature of the Universe: Gravity of time and space, the mutual co-existence of 'Blackhole' and 'Whitehole', the essence of creational evolution, the infinite and eternal nature of the present, what was before and after the Big Bang and the beginning and end of the Universe as well as the quintessence transcendental-quantum physics.

Trans-Art part 2 [Tasting-Art] Taste of Awakening

In Part 2: Tasting Art, he integrates Art with Taste in order to express a glimpse of awakening by providing an extraordinary tasting experience.

The artist uses ‘taste’ as a means to express a glimpse of awakening by providing a 'once in a lifetime tasting exhibition' for an audience to experience the moment of a speechless and mindless state of consciousness.

Trans-Art part 3 [Mobile Art] Collective Awakening

In Part 3: Mobile Art project plan (Trans-Renaissance : Trans-Dystopia), he combines Technology with Art; the audience can participate in creating lights of Universal Trinity (a form of installation art) on a global scale, thereby expressing and experiencing their collective sentiment using a smart-phone application.
